Who is going to the All Japan Show in January?

Yep, it's time for a trip to Japan, and I am planning to start off at the Show the first week of January. I guess many of the best fish around will be there, and that should advance my education exponentially!

Who from the KB board is planning on being there?

I would love to go but have not taken time to plan a trip.

Is there a web site with info on the show? Does anybody know if there is a group of any English speaking hobbyist going?

I will be going on a buying trip next year in the fall. Buying trips seem to be easier to plan there always seems to be a broker that is ready for you to go with them. The All Japan Show seems to be harder to get anybody that knows the ropes to share info. I would love to meet up with a bunch of fellow hobbyist and spend time at the show. I have been told it is very difficult to navigate the show and know what is going on if you do not speak Japanese or do not have an interpreter. That usually does not bother me when traveling but it would kill me to go to a show with the potential learning experience of the Al Japan Show and not understand what was going on.

Judge

I'm going for sure, after seeing one show you can't quit seeing the rest
I hope I can judge there one day, I think I would learn a lot then.
Normally there are many english speaking koilovers there. I hope you will join them.
It's a big experience

Thumbs up Brian, here's your cue

Maybe you can put a Koi Bito tour together... Visit the show, go to a couple of "Antique Flea Markets" at the Togo, Hanazono and/or Nogizaki Jinjas, do Omotesando for sure, visit Shibuya and take in Tokyu Hands, maybe Usuwaya in Kamata... Just have a blast with and get to know your readers...

Aloha! Mike T

Hey, Does anybody have or know of a link that posts the Japan Koi show schedule (in English)?

Are these koi shows readily accessible? Admission costs? Sounds like I can get a first hand look at the Some of the best Koi in Japan. It would surely be an eye openning experience for this Hawaiian. Thanks.

Oh, by the way MikeT...Supper last night was O-toro, Uni, Ikura, Nato and a bottle of my favorite Yebisu beeru. OISHI!!!
