Good point Rob.. its just like a scope.. Not really that expensive... But we all got budgets so having a container is better than not when you need it..

I just like those Japanese ones.. Like I said the softer blue makes the photos come out with good light..

I actually found them in different depths and color shades. I have had the same ones for abouut 4 yrs now with no problems. But truthfully, I consider this a disposable item...If I am in target,walmart..etc and see something appropriate and cheap...I will get another. My favorite smaller net was bought at a dollar store. It has a three foot long bamboo handle and is about 6inches wide. I bought 6 of these!!! keep your eyes open in discount stores...never know what you may find.

Brutus, you got a pic of those bowls you got?

I think it was RodL who brought some clothes he could dispose of when he went to Japan.. So he could lugged a Japanese Bowl back on the Shinkansen and checked it in at the airport.. That's dedication..

I dont have any pics of the bowls...I will take some. But, every photo I have taken and listed here is in one of them. So you can kind of see the color.

Well I got one thing on my list in Japan.. A 1 meter tub! I compared mine to the lim.. I like the height and color of the Japanese tub..

Disclaimer: this is not to bad mouth Lim tubs.. Lim knows me personally. I can say the Japanese tub is way more expensive than the Lim.. The Lim tub is a great deal even with shipping. Me buying the Japanese tub is only jsut because.. Otherwise I would stick with the Lim tub...

Bob, yeah I noticed that as well. Every breeder I went to that had one had ridges on the bottom. I think because they drage em around so much that it needs extra support The one thing I like about these that I have noticed is. The blue is almost translucent so it gives much more light to the koi for photos..

I was at a friends over the weekend and he used a old blue 55 gallon drum cut down. It seem to work out real nice.
