The largest aquarium in the world is slatted to open Nov, 2005 in Atlanta Georgia.
It will feature over 8 million gallons of marine and fresh water. Thanks to co-founder Bernie Marcus of Home Depot who donated 200 million to the project. To give you an idea how big the koi pond would have to be to top it in ranking. Start with a football field's dimentions 160' x 360' and dig a hole 20' deep sideline to sideline, endzone to endzone . That will give us 8.5 million gallons and move us to the top of the World's ranking.
Sorry, that would just be a lake, I guess an aquarium would have to be above ground level. I left you a opening there Val. You could have redeemed yourself after jumping in that leaky boat.LOL

Val, this sounds like a tremendous project. A couple of questions please; Will it open on time.. Have you visited the site...Will there be any koi ponds?

I got an old mag that has the Home Depot Owner's "garden Ponds" in it..the man is heavy into water gardening/koi

Will it open on time? Does ANY project of this size open on time?? I'm not even sure WHERE they are building this thing, let alone how far along they are. You'd think with a project this massive it would be the talk of the town, but the only place I've even heard it discussed has been the national media.
