Koiphen Koi Nationals announces judges

Team Koiphen would like to announce the judging team for the show:

In keeping with the spirit of a "National" show, We've elected to stay with US judges from our US organization, the AKCA. Because of the implications of it being a "National" show (Koiphen Koi Nationals), we have extended invitations to the top AKCA judges, The AKCA judging committee, Bob Finnegan, Galen Hansen, and Art Lembke. Bob, as chairman of the AKCA judging committee will act as our head judge.

The "Big Three" will be assisted by Joan Finnegan and Nicole Lembke along with another AKCA "Koiphenite" judge yet to be named.

But that is not all! There will be 6 "guest judge" positions as well!

Have YOU ever wanted to judge a Koi show? Have you ever questioned why judges pick one Koi over another? Here's you chance! We will be auctioning off 2 judging positions and raffling off 4 others!

"Nationals" show and only US judges! Does it mean that only Koi from US can enter the show or other "national" such as Canada, Japan, PR, Japan etc.. can enter as well?

Best regards,

Koi from anywhere welcome

But Japan has importation laws that forbid their return. Koi must ne entered by hobbyests with the exception of those donated to the show by dealers and entered under the dealers name and raffle/auction winners.

Everybody is welcome, but as Steve said, might be a bit more difficult for our Japanese friends and our European friends.

I know koiphen has a couple of members who live in canada - It'd be awesome if some of them brought koi down for the show. I think the boss-types are working on an arrangement to help folks from greater distances bring their fish.
