First off, what a nice looking Showa!! I'm sure you're excited to see it develop, they are my fav.
I hate to sound ignorent but who is SFF and where can I read about his breeding?
for that matter is there a good place to research the verious breeders?

SFF is short for Sakai Fish Farm (of Hiroshima). With several brothers in the koi trade they need to be kept straight. Don

As Koi cop said, it's Sakai Fish Farm in Hiroshima. It has bred some great champions in the recent past. Here's a link to their site, where you can see their oyagoi (parent koi) and keito.
