I am not sure what you mean, K-Kong. I am referring to the tendency of Shiro Utsuri to be overly thin in the post-abdominal portion of the body compared to the front half of the body. I think there must have been a misunderstanding as to what the dealer was saying, or you were speaking with the wrong person. In any koi the preference is for a body that is strong throughout its length. Shiros have a tendency to be weak in the post-abdominal portion of the body, even among good fish. The best do not have this weakness. If you look at the picture posted above, there is a slight "downsizing" post-abdomen. ...I am not referring to the photo angle effect. It is very slight ... which is positive in a Shiro. In a Kohaku the slight disproportion might be more critical because Kohaku do not have that tendency. This is a very strong Shiro Utsuri. I am emphasizing what I consider the weakest aspect of the fish, but it is not much of an issue with this one, and the other features are so strong that the potential of a great fish is there.
