Fish is very nice. Motoguro is very good , just a little uneven, fish looks a bit stressed in the photo, and the head is very yellow at this time, but should whiten up as the fish matures. I like it.

This shiro is as old as you Akinosan...HAHAHA...Anyways, I know what you like Dinh and I have seen the fish you buy and I have to say shiroji quality is a must. I bought this fish 2 years ago as a tosai and a project. At that time I felt I can condition it, in my pond sumi does not fair well and it will maintain sumi that is up but will not allow the under lying sumi of the fish to come up. I sent the fish to Bnkoi's house where his water is a bit harder and sure enough the sumi came up. There is enough sumi-sashi for the fish to improve, so this Shiro will be coming back to my pond for me to improve the shiroji. You will see it in April. Let me know if it has improved.

Thanks Dick, I am hoping my hobbyist skill will improve the fish. I would have to say Yagenji is probably in the top 5 Shiro breeders in the world.

It looked good to me and the fact you bought it and are conditioning it means my initial impression was probably correct.

A good fish.

You know how to pick 'em!

The rear half of the body is not as disproportionate as so many Shiro Utsuri. Sumi looks very good quality. Pattern is classic. So, if Dick is right, and I believe he is .... I'd like to own this fish.
