| Interesting... Of course as mentioned, you see a lot of "doctored" photos in magazines, books, calenders, and on the web. However, often a straight "untouched" photo is often not representative of the koi as well. Much can and does go wrong... lighting, camera settings, etc do have an effect on the the color "renditions" of the raw picture, making a nice koi look terrible. I'm not defending the act, but do suggest that the photographer take the time to learn about lighting, equipment requirements, and camera settings to get the most realistic representation. Also, and most interesting, one computer will display colors differently than another. It appears to depend on the the display equipment, drivers, and programs used? We have a row of computers, each of which vary in configuration, and you can definately see a difference in the colors when viewing the same picture. Of course the best way to purchase is to visit the koi in person... but even then, koi do look different in various lighting conditions! |
