Every one can pass their opinion but it is you who has to have confidence in the koi you select. Only you can make that decision. Best of luck with your choice and keep us informed.

Not so sure when Momotaro knew they have KHV? I thought the question was "should we buy Momotaro tosai available in US that delivered from Momotaro in September"? I think most of the dealers go thru the QT process before releasing to customers, but not all do that.

I'm not at all surprised that this question has arisen, and can understand peoples fears. Our last shipment of Koi from Momotaro arrived in early May of this year. We were due for a shipment after the auction, but this was cancelled, and the Koi were subsequently destroyed. BUT, I can confidently put my reputation on the line, and say that all shipments to the USA are absolutely fine, and that basically, any Koi shipped before mid September will be 100% fine.
Best regards,

Mike.

I would feel safe buying Tosai that had been shipped befroe the out break but that is just my opinion and how safe I feel witht the upfront way the incident was dealt with.

I like the way they handled too. It is very professional. My concern was what if they delivered "just" before they detect KHV? And not ALL dealers do a complete QT process before releasing....

I think that is some thing that you can only discuss with your dealer and high light your concerns. All the best which ever route you take. And if you do buy at least you will activley be supporting Momotaro.
