I was on the computer and felt like I was getting dizzy. I started to look at the pull chord for the lamp and it was swaying back and forth. I'm in the 6th floor and it lasted what seemed like 5 to 10 minutes, but it was more like 5 to 10 seconds.

Must be a strange feeling! Was this your first, or do you get them in California where you live as well?

I've never experienced an earthquake, in Texas neither as overhere in europe.

Hi Brian,

I get enough of these in California. I didn't come here with that package deal of experiencing an earthquake.

I live in earthquake state. California is one big fault line. Haven't felt it in a while, and I don't want it to start now.

I know about the San Andreas fault, just don't know where you live and if all of California gets earthquakes. Maybe there is earthquake free country in Ca.

washington state is along the same "rim of fire". I was so happy moving away from the midwest as a young man to get away from the tornadoes...quess it's aways something..last good quake we had was the nisqually about 4-5 years ago. I ran outside the work building and watched the parking lot look like the ocean with 3 foot waves while my truck rocked side to side spectatcularly.

I think a famous person said once regarding traveling....

no matter where you go....there you are! (lol)

Joking aside, I don't like them anymore than anyone else and i don't think i'll ever get used to them
