So in fact Peter Agre is in complete agreement with us. Thanks for confirming that with his own papers. Now it should be easy to see how ferroelectric ceramics and FIR can so profoundly affect water biology and chemistry. Thanks for helping me out there JR.

Peter Agre was not the one I was referring to as outdated, the guy who made the site JR pulled an out of context excerpt from is who I was referring to.

As for the font thing, well I guess JR resorts to that when he is desperate, hoping noone will carefully read the posts I made (he obviously didn't). The articles I am putting up are hard to format to post, so they are that size. The ones I am really wanting to use I cannot get to post at all. They in no way contradict Peter Agre's findings, in fact both are in agreement.
Ferroelectric FIR/IR ceramics is just one way to apply his findings. The Navy puts out a great scientific Journal called Ferroelectricity. It has lots of research by teams of chemists, engineers, and biologists in it. They do tons of real research on things just like this, that have to do with WATER, biology, chemistry, and ceramics. Not JR's wonky living water. But real water here on earth. It is the 'Navy'???? I guess the 'water' and Navy part have not sunk in and connected with some yet? Somehow JR keeps putting us in outerspace????

I hate to poop the party, but engineers and chemists work together on things in real life, they are not enemies. I also took plenty of physics, biology, and chemistry. So not sure where that is coming from. Another bemeaning characterization??? You yourself eloquently said electrical things affect biology and chemistry. It is that solid and well known scientific premise the whole BH claim is based on. I am not so sure why that is so hard to comprehend for some folks? Perhaps it is because comprehension is not their goal?

Ditto PapaBear! I feel bad for dtbh .... all he wanted was to share with us the influences of a "new" filter onto his pond. My suggestion is:

1. dtbh to restart a new threat of the same subject.
2. Any contributions are welcome, fighting over FIR is not. Brian to monitor and take action as required.
3. Please respect dtbh the way he deserve.

To his credit, he's making the best of it and deserves much respect for not being distracted by all the white noise. I really am looking forward to hearing more about how his test is progressing.
Until then I suppose we can spend time laughing at and/or with ourselves. From what I can glean, this topic cannot be brought up without a digital war breaking out, so starting a new thread would probably only move the conflict to a new battlefield

I've tried to remain patient with all of this, poking a little fun at both sides from time to time, and reading legitimate points with great interest. When I thought James P was out of line early on I called him on it because up to that point this series of posts was pretty well staying on point.
Then you showed up.
The factual information you have presented is largely unrelated to water filtration except around the fringes, but even if it was the most important material in the known universe few will ever know it. It has been completely lost in the never ending fog of rude, belligerent, hateful, hypersensitive, hypercritical, selfserving, childish, diatribes. The combination of occasionally relevant information infiltrated by more juvenile namecalling than I've witnessed in years makes virtually everything you have had to say worthless.

I'm sure you know your stuff. Good engineers generally do. But you have no people skills man. Grow up. The Navy and DOD are interested in Ceramics for reasons that don't have anything to do with koi or water filtration. You are really good at namedropping, but if this is how you intend to market your product to the dubious, catch a clue and switch gears.

As to "JR" or "James P" or any other handle he may choose, I really think your pathetic attempt to make an issue of that reveals just exactly how self absorbed and self important you are. Do you seriously think that ANYBODY went out and researched your family tree to get in a dig at you??? You aren't that damned important man. Really.

The articles I posted were for those interested in those things, not everyone. I don't think it takes anything away from what dtbh is doing. I want to keep putting real research stuff up and later post one thing bringing it all together, and hope I can do it without JR's harrassment. The arguements are actually what spurs me to do the digging and send the emails to ask for certain things to do that.

The science in this area is not easy, putting it in laymens terms for folks not in the ferroelectric ceramics industry with JR and val attacking from both sides is not easy. And as well the most forward researchers on it, the Navy, is not really keen on handing out all of their knowledge and information to the whole world. Since they have no commercial interests, being in the top 100 of a search on it is not worth them paying the money to make that happen. All the product sellers are the ones investing in that, and are the ones making the most silly statements. They are just marketers, which means nothing about the actual science one way or another. I am not trying to argue, I enjoy talking about these types of things, not so many people do or are willing to go through the effort to really research them. I enjoy it.

The same two guys start the same nonsense about BH and me every time a BH thread starts or I post anywhere about anything, so I do not think they will stop. They do not even bother to read the links and real science, or ask how I see them as applying to BH, so it is very clear to me for some time, science and truth and honest debate are not their concerns, but defamation of others.


I am looking forward to more on this thread from dtbh, and hope he has not been discouraged by the rancor. I understand everyone's point about the ugliness, but I do not feel backing down from these bullies will do anything but encourage them to do it some more. I have watched JR bully people in these chats for years and mock at them. I am not going to back away from him. He is being a jerk and needs to back off. I am sure there are lots of folks who have watched him do it to others repeatedly over the years, who would agree. When I first posted on this thread it had about 200 views and 20 posts. Now it has around 150 posts and over 3500 views. So someone must find it interesting? I will put it aside until tomorrow, then post more related articles, unless dtbh objects. I promise no pseudo science. If you check my links I have never posted one, JR did though, and keeps saying I used those? That was many, many threads ago on koichat, yet is till being used to characterize me, who never posted them? Interesting defamation tactic.

I have a couple of questions about your system dtbh, one is

- How many gallons, with hydroponic ponds and other filters all together do you have in total?

-How many kg of BH at what gph?

-And, have you thought about a solution to the incoming water yet?

That being said, yet again not a single one of the articles I read was related to water in the least. You are continuing your usual trend - googling the word "ceramic" and posting any article you find, then googling the word "infrared" and posting anything you can find. You might be a hell of an engineer, who knows - but you are completely ignorant when it comes to science. Even people who have no experiencce in science are commenting and saying that your articles have NOTHING to do with the topic at hand.
