You need a flow rate of 2-3x total tons/hr. So you need 84-120 tons/hr, you have 38 tons/hr. That is the recommended way for going to an all BH system.
So you have less than half the recommended flow rate, a little more than half the recommended BH, and hydroponics to boot. Might not be your test kit, but I would check it to see.
The two main issues or concerns I see there (aside from your incoming water), is the shower sizing (flow rate and BH amount), and the hydroponics. Two seperate issues really.
If you seperate the hydroponics, you not only eliminate them as a nitrate concern, but you also reduce the need for more BH and flow rate. Are power bills a concern, or can you live with pumping 84 tons/hr over a shower? If not we can discuss options for you to mull over.
Have you considered a small holding tank and shower of some type to remove nitrates from your source water?
