Start of 2005 harvest.

I've started harvesting, pulled a couple of ponds, but have had to stop due to the inconvenience of having to go to Japan this weekend!

I've snapped some photo as I have been going, below are a few from a Momotaro 'Eagle' line kohaku spawn.

This photo shows how the beni has developed since second cull to now. It may be said that the quality is 'too good' and 'finished' at this young age, we'll see? Beautiful to me!

When i return from Japan I'll continue with harvesting. First will be another kohaku pond, the showa, followed by shiro utsuri and more!
Maurice.

Maurice.
PS Anyone know anything about kiwa and sashi, if so go back and look at the babies.

Maurice, some great looking koi. I would love to see what else you have for koi. Can we also get a few pictures of the farm?

Tom, it is hard to find a photo of the farm to show its size. Although it would be small if outdoors, but we're talking 1/4 mile undercover from one end to the other. 14 x 150 ton pond.

A couple of ponds full and ready to go.
