Helping the Japanese breeders...

What do you think about getting a group of koi folks that could go to Japan and help rebuild some of the breeder's greenhouses and ponds , etc.? This is just an idea...but one that should of begun last Oct. 23rd when I was in Japan.

I know there would be red tape, and we need to have the right folks step up and secure corporate finances here in the USA and maybe in the UK...but I know of at least 15 folks from the USA that would like to help with their time and their knowledge and caring to help...rebuild.

Please let me know what you think...this maybe a dream but at least it is a good idea that could be seen by someone here that could make a difference and this would turn from a dream into reality...thank God for dreams and koi.

It would be cool to do so, but I think it would be better if we helped by sending money...but then again, the Japanese are a very resourceful group of people....They are the only group of Asian people to get hit with 2 atomic bombs and still be a world industrial leader....

I think a nice idea... But also an Idea that might be ore trouble than its worth.. Supporting breeders by enjoying the hobby is meaningful in itslef and or sending money...

I just got back from Niigata and you can bve sure that vast improvements have been made in just 1 year. I too wanted to support so one of the best ways I had thought was just to go over there and visit with many I have dealt with before.. To me the smiles on faces were worthy enough. The breeders always appreciate foreigners who come to see their living art...
