I assume you are joking, otherwise you are just plain blind.

Koikop: Yes, a lot of red ... very deep Beni. These are Matsunosuke genetics. The body shape is the place to focus at this age ... a bone structure that can support massive size. At this stage, the long, fat cigar shape suggests much growth to go. To envision the mature fish, imagine the Beni "rising" onto the back as the fish fills out. The deep wrap of Beni will then stand out against the Shiroji of the flanks. Some of these with great potential for size do not have step patterns we would so prefer, but the patterns are the last aspect to look at. The body and depth of Beni are the keys to the future of the Kohaku.

Sorry Luke, it actually was a retorical question. The showa that I included in several of the photos is the one that caught our eye. Very nice ginrin quality and a nice kohaku pattern. The only question is what will happenn with the sumi.

I'm the one that was here first and that new guy ain't me! I sure don't want any confusion about, or need any aggravation from, posts by someone with a similar screen name, so be careful out there, OK? Don

Thanks HenryC,
I thought quite highly of the 3rd from the top in the pic of six of them together.....
will develop a tricky black pattern on the face....and the red looks like it will pull back so some white may show up on the face as well...and the amount of red and white on the body looks like it can take the "darkening" that can be expected in years to come.....
