Mike the koi you see everytime i post is what the asagi looked like a year ago today. I don't have any photos of it as a tosai. Mat posted it on the auction and said it was his #1 koi. That was good enough for me. This time next year the red ban across the dorsal will be complete and the red will start up in the tail. I could be any happier as to how this fish is developing for show.

Dick & Henry: Had to check through the threads from last year's harvest. It's a strange feeling knowing the best koi I own is one I've not seen and did not pick!

Fall is fast approaching and I am really looking forward to our trip to Mat's at the end of October. My yonsai sanke and nissai showa and kohaku will be coming out of the mud. Along with your sansai sanke, you have several others coming out the mud also, right?

This will be may third year in a row at Mat's fall harvest. Any Koi Kichi that has not taken the opportunity to make this trip is really missing out. I wouldn't even consider missing it.

October is not that far off, and I'm looking forward to spending time with you and Henry....I'm hopeful my two years olds will have held their quality during their time of growth. Also I'd like to sort thru a shusui and ochiba tosai...something for next year.
