Why doesn't the AKCA have a chat board?
I was wondering why the AKCA doesn't have a chat board like this or any other boards?

Cause no one would use it. If there was ever a website that needed a facelift its akca.org

They do have one
Use the menu in the upper left of the main page, choose "bulletin board" and then there are sub sections.

Most of the threads there are for general koi, garden, pond construction, and filter etc... not special specific for koi kichi discussion like KB.

I just saw it from one of my other computers as it doesnt work from this one. Some sort of Java problem.

The topics are:
Health
Filters
Pond Construction
Water Quality
Water Plants
Seasonal

No topic to actually discuss Koi.

Was kinda wondering why the AKCA or ZNA doesn't have a board like this...If you thing about it they are the ones with the biggest membership..Also you would think they would take advantage of the internet more to open the doors to support the hobby....To me this just make more room to creating another club....Japan has 3 major clubs and I think it is time for one more here in the states. Anyways, I thought someone could elabroate a bit more...

Dunno why they don't embrace the internet more. It's certainly not from a lack of suggesting on my part.

Probably the job of 'moderator' would s*ck for an AKCA forum. Think about all the politics that go on in one club, let alone all of them on line!

I love this board, too! I think more clubs would expand the hobby, so why not??
