Koi-Bito magazine questions for everyone

I recently bought all the back issues I didn't have and have finally read through most them. So I got a couple questions for everybody.

1. Which breeder interview did you like the most and why?

2. Lots of Japanese Koi pond designs. Which do you think you might like if you had the room and money?

3. Alot of show coverage. Which show coverage did you just look at and say man I want all of them?

4. Other then the 3 catogories listed above what was your favorite article?

My answers:
1. The series of interviews with the next generation of koi breeders. I really liked the round table style. Lots of info in all the the breeder interviews but the style of this one really set it apart for me. Issues 5-7

2. Issue 2 Mr. Kiyoshi Izumi' 100 ton pond. So simple yet so effective.

3. Wakagoi issue 9. So many pictures. So many koi. I want them all!

4. Mike Snadens quest for 80cm in the UK. Issues 6, 8 and 9. Alot of fun following along with that project!

Looking forward to everyone else's thoughts .

Oh, Jim. Too many questions. It makes my head hurt! .... The Sakai interview in the last issue is one to read over and over. There is a lot of learning in the simple sentences.

[Now I have to go look at all the show pics to see which I'd rank first. Be back in a couple of weeks to answer that question. ]

1. Which breeder interview did you like the most and why?

I like Mr. Maeda's interview, kinda like seeing the underdawg suceed.

2. Lots of Japanese Koi pond designs. Which do you think you might like if you had the room and money?

I like the simple show pond design of a retangle pond, simple stand pipe system. Can't get any easier than that.

3. Alot of show coverage. Which show coverage did you just look at and say man I want all of them?

I like the 2004 Wakagoi show coverage, love looking at show pattern and studying pattern on different body types.

4. Other then the 3 catogories listed above what was your favorite article?

The young breeders article.

My favorite was the interview with Omosako in issue #3. Unfortunately for myself, when I ordered some back issues I did not get them all, and that interview is continued in issue #4.

Now I am patiently waiting for a couple more back issues.

One more question for our KB readers.
What is your favorite cover?
I don't have them all so my opinion might change but I love that sanke on the recent issue.
