The enzyymatic mechananisms in those koi are are doing a great job of converting the carotenoides into other forms of astaxathins. Your camera flash works well with the ambient light that is present at this pond location. Love the foliage of the Fir, Pine, Spruce Tree accent but have to pass on the xmas ornamental balls. Maybe float some annual flowers for the Holiday consumption .Thanks for the show.

Very nice pix. see alot of good koi there.

Seems like you have a lot of rocks in bottom of your pond?
Is that for Xmas pix purpose or permanent?

Heard of a lot of rocks in bottom of koi pond is not recommended...
Any comment on that?

Thx,
--Dinh

Sorry my englisch is not that good that I can understand your many difficult worded comment's, on my internet site www.koifoto.nl you will find almost any imaginable KOI picture including picture's with flowers.
Hope you find some you do like. The Ornamental balls are some fun things to do.
I am an amateur and make pictures I like to make.
I have a small number of rocks in my pond they are round and are no problem.

Martin: Beautiful, as always. Glad you posted here. (I really like the Kohaku in the bubble. If only I could have a few dozen of those ornaments, I'd not mind the work of putting up a tree!)

Sorry Martin, I forgot about the language thing, my bad. I was trying to say how colorful the koi looked and was wondering if you were using natural day light and a flash. The lighting is perfect without much reflection. The Xmas balls add a special Holiday feel and look wonderful. Rocks are very nice as well with koi. Looks very natural. Thank you for the pictures and sorry for being discourteous.
Saw this one, nice garden.
