Super E motors typically have about a 10% improvement over similar high end motors....that is why there are fewer small hp Super E motors

The most efficient motor I can find on Baldors site in this size range is the premium effeciency line.
Full loads efficiency of 78.5%.
Regular pump motor 68%.
Did anyone call Carry today to get the amps? I'll try tomorrow.

your memory is correct.
These were the numbers quoted to me for the 1/2 HP Storm pump @115volts.
Average power .97 KW
Full Load Amps 10
Locked rotor Amps 64.4

now the 3/4 hp ice eater submersible motor looked good from my uneducated perspective..it required fewer amps than their 1/2HP motor

But two of the 1/20hp motor would deliver more flow for lower amps than the 3/4hp

Consider wind power.
