If you have batteries and an inverter, wind is more reliable than the power grid.

Less trees have a chance of falling during storms, less equipment to break down, or car accidents hitting poles etc to interrupt power.

Ohhhh, psychic stuff here. I have been looking into wind power for aeration. The current plan is to have a windmill direct-drive an air pump which is tied to the air distribution system. When the wind stops, a pressure sensor would kick on the electrical air blower.

We face out to 3,500 miles of open ocean and directly into the Trade Winds, which blow 10-20 knots about 300 days per year. The largest obstacle at the moment is getting up the nerve to ask our neighbors if they would object to me having a windmill.

The more guests you have, the more flow you can have going over your waterfall Get out the bean dip honey, and invite the neighbors over, I still see a couple of dead spots in the pond....

FIR will then be a solid ponding concept, that is (Fart in Rear) Oh I should have been a comedian.

I believe your type of FIR also reduces water cluster size more dramatically, and enhances bacterial growth.
