Earthquake Hits Off Eastern Coast Of Japan
An earthquake magnitude 7.2 hit off the eastern coast of Japan early Tuesday morning, approx. 2:30 pm today pacific standard time. No reports of damage so far and the ensuing tsunamiw were registered at 20-24 INCHES. I'm sure local news will keep up with the story. Sounds like koiville was spared this time

I felt it just as I was leaving the house today. Not so strong down in my neck of the woods though.

If it is without any loss of lives and property, it is propably a good thing letting all that pent-up tension release its energy. Tokyo has been reminding its residents of a potentially big quake.

One day after we left Nigata, there was a quake of 3.5~4.0.

Spoke to my husband who is in Fukuoka, at Ogata koi farm. they never felt anything. Hopefully none of the other areas had any problems.
