With that being said, yes I think I do have some nice fish My 25 Koi average a tad over 30 inches. Here are some photos snapped today http://www.koiphen.com/forums/showthread.php?t=30813

I added a few pics of the 102,000 GPH stream flow. No brag here, just pics mostly from today
Not to tell you your business, but those koi are too nice NOT to show. The Utsuri's alone would kick some serious butt Maybe the envy factor will motivate some of the other competetors to grow up and aim higher
BTW, that is one georgeous pond and stream setup.

I think it would be cool to see who does have the best koi in the US. I don't think we ever will know what GC is the best tho. A all GC US show would be the show of all shows if you ask me.

I would still have to put my money on the two TX guys.

Stephen you do have some outstanding looking koi. It would be nice to see them come out a little more to play at shows.

Hello Steve,

I will most likely built a 60,000 gallon pond (give or take
10,000) in 14 month time. Who built your pond?
I will consult with a bunch of people over this.
for I made too many mistakes with my first pond.
Any suggestion?
I live in Naples and the pond will be enclosed with a lanai
to prevent bugs and preditors such as aligator/snake.....
What is your favorite part of your pond?
Hey Karl, if you are reading this I am just a little guy
trying to make ends meet.

Hey Luke,
I detect some jeolousy and envy in your statement
toward Steve here. As a koi hobbyist We should help each
and not hurt each other. It should be fun for all people.

I think that would be very cool to see a bunch of kick butt fish and not have people worry about what others think. In the end, it's all about the koi and the hobby.

Goshiki,
Not the first bit of jealousy. I expect the Epher to throw alot of money at the memphis show so it will be the "Show of Shows". And one worth attending.
If you read anything into my post concerning St Ephen it is that of contempt. I know the Saint all to well. While his money does make up for his lack of character to many, it does not for me. Until he behaves as he should and admits to abuses many know nothing about I will not value his existence.
He is the antithesis of what he told many of us he would be when he put up the money to start his website. And one day I hope he will become what he wanted to be. His money has benefitted the hobby...in some regards.

As to your koi pond endeavor. I have a long thread on themudpond.com (Pond Construction then Lakeluke)concerning a similar sized pond I built (am building). the thread might give you additional insight into what you will want to do.
And I am still hoping to interest a pump designer/manufacturer into developing a Mixed-flow fractional HP pump that the Hobby needs.

The Big Twig might be someone worth talking to over in your area concerning your pond's construction...

now let's get back to "What's the most prestigious Show"

if we find a sponsor I volunteer my time to go to ALL the Shows In the U.S. that anyone feels are worth considering for this title....
I think I'd be able to give an honest review

for show to have prestige it have to have class, be an established place to gain recognition for show koi, and be put on by people with class. Also, ZNA and akca shows are done by certain standards, so I think if nashville continues it will need years to be considered for a thing ike prestige. It will also need a different sponsor, as class is a requirement to have prestigous show.

Now if you are looking for the show most likely attended by rednecks and most likely to turn into a wet t-shirt contest, then nashville it is!
