Why luke? What do you think will happen. Fallen down the banks of the mud pond with mud from head to toe and my seeing glasses covered in mud is hard to beat. If you think about it Im a big girl and the momentum I picked up going down that bank was pretty funny acording to the ones standing around watching. Instead of flopping like a fish I am sure I bounced before the run down the bank.

Not real potatoes silly Ornamental Potatoe Vines. They are not poisonous according to any list I've ever found and my koi munched on them casually without any problems

KFG, They will come back unless it gets toooooo cold. We dig the roots (which look like a blonde yam), let them dry out about a week, wrap'em up and put them in the spare refrigerator over the winter. The roots they put down in the water will only be at the edges and you can easily pull them to the top of the bank when you pull your ponds.

That ornamental potato vine is not really a potato at all but is in the morning glory family. Its beautiful and fast growing. It grows too fast here though and is a real pest if you do not have the winter to knock it back.

Moon flower vine might do the same thing, but I still say kudzu.
