the one that is nose down...it has better "patterned pecs" and the Hi is more evenly distributed...BUT it definitely isn't a classic sanke pattern. BUT that fish will carry a different look, and be a great addition to a gosanke collection because it is a "lighter" sanke with perfect balance...

The other Sanke, is closer to a classic sanke patterned body...but it is not as balanced with perspective to the Hi. the front plate is almost too big by itself, but without being balanced by a large hi plate on the back half or two-thirds...well i see it as an average pattern.

Binh . . .

they are both lovely koi. My personal preference is for the upright (vs. horizontal) koi -- I tend to shy away from menkaburi as, to me, that upsets a koi's balance.

Out of the two, I like the north south one as well.

I wouldn't mind seeing a little bit more of the one on the far left though. It doesn't have a very balance pattern especially with all the kasane sumi but if you follow the outline of the fish, it seems to have nice conformation and broad shoulders.

I dont like neither...HAHAHAHA....Well, out of the 2 I like the menkaburi patterned one...reason being is that the pattern on the other will look to small as the fish gets bigger...both fish has very good shiroji, but I still take the menkaburi.

I've been looking for a Sanke too. I like the top one, but both fish are better than most of the imports I see. Both appear to have the possibilty of a big body, good lay out and small sumi. Many hobbyists like the big black, but for me small and ebony is the ideal. Good luck with your choice.

I would pick the one in the middle. Don't particularly care for hooded Koi.
