New pond, almost done!

Here is a pictorial on my new pond. It is a semi circle of approximately 20 feet across, sheer walls down 4 feet and they taper to the middle depth of 6-8". Jeff Dunkel....kept telling me to "go deeper." Next step is to have him spray his polyurea in a few weeks, weather permitting of course. He has been a wealth of information, a huge help in all aspects of the build including digging 10 wheelbarrows of dirt himself! 4 inch bottom drain, in pond skimmer, four 2 inch returns to swirl my pond like a vortex. The drain will head to the settling chambers then onto an Advantage bead filter, uv light, etc. After Jeff gives my gunite a blowing, Steve Barr will be doing my waterfall and all stonework, etc. Water, fish, landscaping next. I am so excited that i am finding it hard to sleep. lol

Sounds good and looks good. Give us a picture when you get the landscaping done and the koi in the pond.

jckoi- What process are you refferring to? I'm unkletim's son=) I'm the subcontractor on the job=) We have 50-75% of the plumbing done on the pond right now I finished up the manifolds for the returns and the skimmer last weekend and as soon as I get off work in a few hours I'll be finishing running the line..

Pond has four returns like my dad mentions as well as a 5th return fromt he waterfall into the pond, a surface skimmer, and the 4" bottom drain goes back to a 250gallon vortex then a 250gallon settling chamber, then into pump house to the advantage Bead filter with glass beads I beleive we're running, a huge 4ft long UV light, back flush system and all that good stuff, auto topoff of course.. Then back to the pond through two 1/4" HP?? or 1/2HP? I keep forgetting, Artesian Pumps which at this point I'm planning n running inline back to the pond.. I might end up running one for the returns and one for the skimmer Depending upon flow rates and such after I actually get water in there in a month or so..

aquitori-- Thanks for the offer=) We'll probably be in touch.. I really want a Shuro Utsuri and a Asagi.. but not for awhile unfortunately

Bamm Bamm-

Thank you for the input. It seem like a wonderful good system. I think it almost likes Jeff's pond filter system ? do you have some picture of the pond and filter system to be post?
I am glad the pond almost done. Good for you

No more pictures yet the filtration room is well everythings in there BUT its in boxes still.. the vortexes still have to be ordered though a sell.. Dunkel's coming over in a few hours so him and I can go over the flow rates and see if we need to change anything from how I set it up..
