It beats answering to a customer later and explaining that your QT was less than adequate. Kev he has a lot of money in those and heck even some of my fish are in those QT. He better be spending the money

Sometimes we treat our koi better than ourselves. I heat my house by wood burning stove

Gary, I wish your wish will come soon. Technically, we have to do more works for your wish to come true one day.....

My wish is that my lovely 6 years old daughter can help my wife to spell the "kohaku" correctly ...;-)))))

Joe

This was not an afront towards Kevin - It was just information that I found incredible - as I stated, for breeders/dealers it is justified - but what are the hobbyists to do with the rising cost of natural gas

Tony

I would look into it if I had a way to bridge my walkway from the roof to a pump to the pond. As you well know, it used to be a pool. Maybe I should have had the foresight when it was built to have it installed. WHO KNEW!!

Mike, wasn't taken that way at all. I was just stating that Kev spends that type of money but it really doesn't effect the hobbyist only him.. SO yes it is incredible that such a heating expense is paid..

It is only going to get worse too, as it is not a renewable resource. Electricity is going to get way worse too b 4 fusion reactors or nuke plants are built in enough abundance to compensate. Everyone wants two things when they buy a house that totally conflict, low power bills and no nuke plant near by. Due to those things, bend over and brace yourselves.....just kidding, get your wallet out instead..........we are paying .17c kw/hr here already. That is more than double what you pay in the States.

I am getting a site up and running to sell somethings to help out with the bills now. Solar is part of the solution, it helps but more is needed in the dead of winter. My x-mas wish is to have my site up and running by then!

Seriously, I want to see my family for Xmas. Haven't been back to DC for X-mas in five years. Everyone wants to come here. My Mom makes this x-mas dinner spread that is just incredible. Twice baked potatoes, Virginia honey cured ham, I miss it. I'm drooling for some eggnog and some below 70 weather now.......
