Help Needed: Show Tank as Q Tank???

Hello everyone;

I'm hoping to finally get around to building a quarantine tank before next spring. If possible, I'd like to build one using one of the blue tanks I've often seen being used at koi shows. All things considered, I think this is probably the easiest way to go. Does anyone know where I can find any of these; preferably in Southern California. If you're not sure what I'm talking about, please see the photo below. Any assistance or information would be greatly appreciated!

Pearls of Paradise currently has a monopoly on the show tanks (and their price reflects it).

I recognize that show. You must have taken that pic Saturday morning at the Koi Kichi show a few weeks ago.

Joseph . . .

the show tanks in your picture are the 6' size; they also come in an 8' size (which has double the volume). And yes, they work fine for QT. Don

Both Mystic Koi (www.mystickoi.com) and Eastern Nishikigoi (www.enkoi.com) carry the pearls of paradise tanks. And both are very reputable dealers who support this site. On mystic's site look under the tanks and bowls section and at eastern look under pond accessories.

Mystic Koi is located nearby. I'll definitely pick one up next month.

Thanks again!

They also sell a 3' tank although those are harder to fine. I sure one can be ordered by any dealer that carried the other tanks.

Really Hernry? You meant no one is competing with Pearlsof Paradize? No wonder, the price is so ridiculous. The same applies to the cover net too. MA Le

If you never plan on using the tank to show koi, I like the black ones over the blue. The Pearls of Paradise tanks come in black or blue. One other thing that I think it a must is a net for it. Pearls of Paradise has a real nice net that will keep all of your koi in it safe.
