koiczar most of us old timers from the boards know the name Tom L as Tom Lansing. Sorry I took it as him. I'm sure Tom Lai could also do a great job at it. Tom Lai seems to know his stuff also. You're real lucky to have him close by.

I would love to have Grant Fujita, who I called my Sensei.
Thru out this forum, I would like to hear from James P., Dick B, and Brian S.

James P's knowledge and the way he addresses on koi's subjects are so great and interesting.

Dick B, I would like to hear about "Asagi Appreciation" from such a great man.

Brian S, I would like to hear his love for koi that made him to start the Bito.

I would like to hear any of the Japanese breeders talk about their koi breeding programs or Koi Genealogy/history. Especially Toshio Sakai who has a very good teaching style. Also U.S. breeders, especially Brett and Brady.

Most of the AKCA judges are excellent speakers on a variety of topics. Galen, Art, J.R., Steve, etc. etc.

Andy Goodwin is one of the best speakers on Koi Health especially KHV research. Also Vicky Burnley is a excellent speaker.

Actually, there are many many more, to many to name.

Dick,

Dennis is a good choice. He gave a talk at my club some time back but it was what you would imagine, informative and interesting, full of small anecdotes that made it seem very personal and brought it all to life.

Toshio Sakai gives a great talk, very well prepared and supported by an a very sympathetic interpreter. It concentrated on the development of the Matsunosuke brand.

Kentaro Sakai gives a good lecture too. Less detailed the Toshio's where development is concerned but a great insight into Hiroshima Sakai bloodlines.
He doesn't need an interpretor which keeps things moving.

One of the more recent good talks I've witnessed was by a guy called Cliff Neale who owns the Sanke that took GC at the BKKS National in 2003 & 2005. It's about FEET (his acronym for Food, Environment, Exercise and Temperature) the elements of growing koi to their potential.

The speaker that I'd want to hear (and interogate) is JR.
