cuz St Ephen don't know squat, and you know japan Koi..
People seem to want a breeder from over there to give a seminar and then a Q&A session. I can tell ya that doing aQ&A session where you have an interpreter absolutely stinks for many reasons...first the interpreter changes the question when they hear it as they don't know both languages at level where they can take what one language means and keep it the same in another language. and that happens TWICE, both the listening of the Question and the telling it back to the asker.....AND if that ain't bad enough you have to waste alot of time getting any kind of answer...
I've seen Hobbyists ask detailed questions and the interpreter take 2 minutes discussing it with the Breeder and then the Interpreter gives a five word "answer" that doesn't even begin to answer the Question.
SO I'd like for YOU to be the dang Seminar giver...you know the language (if not the sayings) and I'm pretty sure your pictures would be OK...I traveled to Orlando one time and they had a speaker that was a KHV Genius...the presentor showed us pic after pic and each was introduced by the statement, " You can't see it really well on this photo, but..."
St Ephen would be meat. plain and simple.

Mr. Sousa will be at the All-Bay Area Show checking out the show. Brian will be there to enjoy a very good show and to support the hobby in general...Dinh, you wont get a seminar talk from him cause Brian wants to chill, relax and enjoy what the Bay Area has to offer. By the way Dinh, I want to thank you personally for getting Duke Nguyen to show!!! Did some one say a 36" Dainichi Kohaku will be there from Duke? or maybe the best Sakai Hiroshima Old Style Showa in the country...We will see....

I think Duke might bring this out. It was "Koi of the Year" in 2000 and now it is about 31-33" if I am not mistaken. It has maintained it's quality very nicely!!!

WOW!!! Very impressive feat indeed! I saw both those koi at Champions last year (almost 2 years ago), and they were both in excellent shape. They should doextremely well at the show. Kudos to Duke for raising two fine specimens. It's funny how the showa pic doesn't do that koi any justice.
