Lee Family Koi?...

Has anyone bought koi from them?.... Prices are within reason, but I wonder if anyone has any experience with them....

Havent bought from them but I hear they have a mix of Domestic and Japanese Koi.

Never bought form Kevin Lee, He is a cool cat though.. Breeds some koi as well... Helluva beer drinker.. LOL

I have been around the internet koi world for ten years and have never heard of them before. Their site is dreamweaver built and looks cool and slick, the guy in the pic peering out looks flat evil. imho. Anyone else heard of them or know anything about them?

Interesting he stressed 'buying power'. Aquitori? You know him/them?

I have been planning on buying from them for the past year.... They had a jumbo tosai for $250.00... the size was 16" to 18"...

I believe they mainly deal in bulk sales to the trade and have begun to be mentioned on other boards from time to time. My impression is that the individual koi they sell are O.K. for the garden pond, but typically not at a level to be raised for showing... there are always exceptions to such a generality! You'd likely get a better deal on the Showas now up for auction (above)... at least until the price crosses $250 mark, but would have to see the tosai you are considering before coming to any conclusions.

I have bought from Kevin. great guy and some really good fish. I just recently brought in some wonderful yamabuki long fins...very high quality and the prices were excellent. He has pond grade fish as well, but so does every breeder, ask him about his high end stock. IMO he is one of the better breeders in the US.

I have not met him, but I heard the guy has alot of tatoos, the guys look is heavy metal meets nishikigoi.
