Torazo Kohak needs some finishing, but that's not a problem...Knowing the Hobbyist he has patience...I have seen these 2 fish at the Hobbyist house and I see a bright future for both. The Showa has a tradition checkerboard pattern with bright hi to match. Hey Mike will we be seeing these 2 fish in April?

Tonio

Let's see how bad I can screw them up between now and then! Who knows-maybe they'll be there along with a few others.

DickB - I'll post my sansai tategoi asagi from Hosokai next

Mike Kohaku is nice, but I will take your Ogata showa anyday. Very nice showa... But I love Ogata Showa's and Shiro's, and Kohaku's

Also, what do you think of the one in the avatar? 2 yr old Ogata Showa?

Nancy,

Thanks!!
I got this from Tom Lai-two days after I got back from Japan -LOL Bought it while in the bag!!
Couldn't resist-I haven't seen "square sumi" like this since Duke's fish.

Thanks for the comments everyone. You're right, the kohaku needs a little finishing, but at 2 years old, I thought it was worth a risk.

Once the sumi fills in on the showa, it should be something to see - I hope!!

Oh Mike, you don't need me to comment on the showa avatar. Not just a little bit;-))

For the Kohaku, it has an excellent body coformation and very good colors; for pattern, somehow it does not catch my eyes.....

Make sure to condition your fish for the April foo. Duke is ready and on the way to go.....

Mike your Ogata showa looks real good, give it time for the sumi to finish and she will be a real beauty.
