Koiczar, did you ask him if it was a gin beni matsuba, or did he come out with the name himself?

The name sounds fantastic of course! But I bought the koi I showed you in the picture as a 15cm Kujaku bred by Ogata. It turned out to be a unique koi

I asked Aoki-san if it was a Gin Beni Matsukawabake and he confirmed that. At first I thought it might be a kujyaku X Goshiki due to the sumi pattern, but he did repeat the name.

JR - It still makes a nice addition to the color balance in a pond of gosanke - thanks for the tutelege.

JR,

I think this fish would be placed in "Hikari Moyo" category at a show. Yes it would compete against kujyakus but also others within the HMoyo category, no?!?
