I got to see this beautiful Koi in person as well. As good as it looks in the auction photo, it looks even better in person. The beni just glows. The body is very powerful. It is still very much tategoi. Here is a shot I took.

The auction pic and this pic are very different...Your pic of the Sanke is alot better to show the conformation...

Henry C. pix of the Sanke looks fresh and younger. Seems like my buddy is the top bidder now - Hope he win so we can view it in person...

BTW, there is another Koi Slate of GC auction for KHV project will be ending some time today - Check out the auction site folks --- it will be a great Xmas gift for some koi kichi for sure....

Had a great time this weekend at Keirin Koi open house. Thanks Henry for putting up another photo of the donated Sanke. Some lucky koi person is going to get a very nice sanke and Project KHV will get a nice donation. Thank you again Carl for this very geneours donation and also to Brian and his team for helping us with the auction.. It was really nice to get to visit with all the koi kichi's in that part of the world.

I plan to put up the pics of the 12-ISA showas used in the judging contest as soon as I get all the photos and a copy of ISA's rankings. I was relieved I was not last but at 42nd out of 45 entrants I wasn't far from the bottom.
