I had just added this post to the "Purpose of Koi Shows" thread only to find it had been closed.
Getting back to the subject.
Tom C. Thanks for your response to my question about Closed vs Open shows.
The reason I asked is that under our format a Closed show would be in a better position to police some of the ideas that were coming out. It would be pointless to make new legislation if it couldn't be policed.
Valarc. Yes the BKKS shows adhere to the central Rules & Guidelines. You'll find them here

The forthcoming changes that I mentioned seem to fit in with the Husbandry Award that has been mentioned, but I am waiting to see the rule changes to realy get an understanding. However, from what I have already heard they will impact on the Administrative team and not the Judges. I've tried contacting a few people for clarification but its hard to find anybody at home this close to Christmas. But from what I have learned this idea is not ready to be drafted yet. New rules are introduced before the start of the season and as our first show is not until the end of May, I guess there is no rush.
But when I hear what they are, I'll let you all know.
