What do you think of this shiro utsuri?

A female nissai at 14" bred by Seki.

Seki Shiros are as rare as 40 inch Gosanke. With that statement made you have a pretty good Shiro in your hands. Shiroji is clean and sumi is still coming up. Keep us up to date with it's progress.

Mike is right

It has a head the body needs to catch up to. Shiro/Sumi both look to be pretty good with a decent pattern. Time on the treadmill might be just the ticket.

Just read some stuff off of dream koi that was interesting. The World's number one breeder of shiros is Omosako Koi Farm. Their sumi is practicaly blue black, ink black. Sumi can and does reduce. White ground can and does increase. I like 50% black and 50% white, like the koi came from a showa spawn. Judges like 70% white and 30% black. Seki has devoted 30 years into shiro so I am sure he must have great brood stock. Flounder, this koi is 14 inches long with a body of a 6 inch fish in my estimation too. Something went wrong with its normal development, I could have been many things but chances are it will not breakthrough.

I see lots of black in this koi's future. I can't tell the quality of the sumi from a picture. today's trend in shiro's is still pretty much white.

i realize pattern and looks can be personal....I like less black in the fins (pecs, tail, dorsal) the white shoulders are nice
