ID this BEAST

Almost culled this neandrithal back in its infantcy but spared her because of its tremendous growth rate and strange appearance. At first, when she was much younger, I thought she might be a deformaty, but as she has grown and developed I'm thinking that she may be a Magoi throwback. Never seen Magoi. Any ideas?????????HMMMMMMMMMMM???????????????

Interesting! Magoi is a safe name but, from this photo, the fish appears to have no barbels?? Its head is also extremely unusual- very short and round. Probably deformed. But still interesting as it is more like a goldfish head than a common carp head? And with no barbels--??
Do you, or did you have a goldfish in the pond when these koi spawned to produce this fish? JR

Yes, a goldfish head... like an Oranda. Impressive body.

...I much prefer to wannabe longfins.

KGB-

Definite head growth. I would get a kick out of having a black oranda headed mule. It seems like the fins are fine and koi-like, and thankfully not fluttery. Did you have a big Floranda hangin around?

Kiefer I have a koi that looks similar to that koi. The wiskers are very short and the head is not quite as blunt but it does look like it may be deformed. I would like the other said keep it anyways as who know what this koi may start, what if you come up with a new line of koi, now wouldn't that be great His mouth does it look like a koi because I cannot see it?

Take a good pic of this koi by itselfs and get some good angle's,I would like and I am sure others would like a better look at this koi. This one is interesting

She is a product of a flock spawning between a Very large yamabuki female and a host of pappas. No goldfish in my pond! Will bowl her tommorow and get some pics.

In a panda bear sorta way I am attracted to that beast. Something about it makes me want to nurture it, and try and establish a relationship with it...
BTW the wife is more than easy to get along with these days. Thanks
