Tony, that was a very beautiful and thoughtful post. It came at a very sentimental time of year when you really feel the love from special family like you and Joe. Merry Christmas from Hawaii and a most Happy New Year. It is always a joy when all koi kichi people are brought together and just share love.

I have had bad luck with "big-headed" young koi personally, but have heard two completely different schools of thought on the desirability of that shape on a young fish.

Can someone(s) enlighten me?
I got a Momotaro tosai awhile back that had a really big head and skinny body, I wish I had taken a pic of it. It looked like it was goin to die, but I said what the hell...I just bought it as an experiment...here's a pic of it in Sept. He is still my project fish, and hopfully the beni will thicken up a bit more.

But trust me when I say the fish was really skinny when I bought it.

Shirleen, you and Kenneth are family. I have to say that I am lucky to have gone to Momotaro and meet you and Kenneth. You guys made my first trip to Japan fun.

Forever Koi-Unit,
Tony

It's ponding rain on the west side of washington state this christmas morning.
It was nice to be able to open up the shipment pictures and see what's there.
thanks for posting. There is something about a new shipment anytime of year that makes it seem like Christmas.

I could never be a dealer. I'd not want to part with the inventory.

Thanks for the Xmas treat, Joe.

Sometimes Joe, you just have to throw your hands up in the air, wave them like you don't care, scream at the top of your lungs, "I want that one!"
Now please, buy that 'robed' maruten (k)goromo and take it to the Big Show and make us proud.
