47 by a mile-body, white and hopefully the nose will clean up. Any idea on the prices on these fish? Or, the breeder, what does he pick for now and later.

thanks,
Mark

I'd pick 54 as well. It's the most ready for show today. However, that's not to say it is the best future fish.

I dunno, I am kinda with Benbow on this one.. As much as those others are text book I would find great thrill in rasing the last . But of course if I was to show I would have to pick 54-47-52...

At this size, 47 is the winning baby.

I think the battle qwouldbe between the whit nose on 54 and the four step pattern on 47. At this size I am not so sure the white nose matters too much, but being a four step definitely does.

Maybe a judge could tell us how much the white nose matters in this size vs a yellow head?

Mark, no idea on the prices. But these kohaku were auctioned in the SFF auction on December 13th and 14th.

Maybe someone here can tell us.

For BGC I would go for 54-47-52. 54 because of the whiter head.

When looking for a future koi, 54 and 47 would be a close call for me.

I'm stunned?! Does everyone realize that these are 6 3/4 to 7 inch fish?

Nah, JR. They are at least 9" on my screen.

I'd like to raise the 4-step, just because you do not often see 4 steps as balanced as this.
