How about these home bred Doitsu Kujaku?

Hi All,

What are you're opinions on these home bred Kujaku?
14 Months old now and the biggest at 45cm.
First picture is 8 months ago after our Summer season ended and the other pics taken this week.
Notice how the colours have change and strengthen.
Sorry for the large pictures

Thumbs up NIce Work

Especially on the first one Every aspect of color seems to have come along very quickly. Good looking Zipper and leading edged on the Shoulder. What kind of feeding regime and water conditions do you have? I don't have any Doitsu Kujaku so I'm not familiar with what works best for them.

I struggled with how to word this, so here goes...

the pecs on some individuals are proportionately too small....a common problem with ogon/hikari types. Picture #2 , I think is the easiest example to see clearly.

They are very pretty colored koi and the dark scales along the backbone are really nice. I hope I have not been out of line here as I'd like you to keep working your trade and improving as you go. i appreciate you posting your obviously proud work and don't wish to take anything away from it. IT's just with these types the eyes tend to appreciate the patterns and hikari brightness.
It doesn't mean all the koi from this spawning are this way, it just means on your next cull you'll need to be extra watchful.

I like that doitsu pattern... But, that color, man!! Awesome.... If you didn't mention the doitsu, I would have taken it for shusui....

Hi,
When it comes to selling I do not part with them easily.
Non of the first cull is sold and I only start to sell frm second culling onwards.
I only kept about 20 from last years spawn and after this summer will only keep 2 or three.
Mother

Father.

Here are some of the ones sold early on.

Notice the wide variety this parent set produced.

This season I changed to this female keeping the Kujaku as male parent.

iT SOUNDS FROM YOUR EARLIER REPLY THAT I HAD OFFENDED YOU WITH MY COMMENTS FOR WHICH i AM VERY SORRY.

As I indicated prior to making them, I did hestiate but I felt you would appreciate an honest appraisal. I think you know from other posts regarding your efforts that I have always been encouraging and supportive.
