Thanks to all and Happy New Year

I just want to wish everyone a Happy and Healthy New Year. Over the years I have met a lot of great people on these boards, but for now, I have to say good bye to the boards.

Brian it's a long story, in short I think it's koi hobby burn out. This hobby has been a big part of me for over ten years now. I can't tell you why I have it, but I do. I'm thinking it's do to many things. I think dealing with a clarity issue with my Nexus units in the pond for months, but that is fixed now thanks to EA. I also had some bad luck with a product that cause some damage to my koi and caused me to lose two this year. My sanke that I lost was a koi I liked a lot. When I lost it, it sucked the life out of me. It was the first time in yearssssss that I lost one of my koi.

I was out to see Nancy a few weeks back and it just wasn't like how it use to be. When ever I saw koi, I was always wanting to see more. I even found a real nice showa at Eastern and the price was great, and I didn't even bring it home. A year ago that koi would have been in my QT tank without even thinking about it.

I have to say the boards have even changed a lot over the last few year also. They seem like battle grounds anymore. I know I have been a part of it, and I have to say sorry to you and all your readers. For me 2006 will be different, I will not be a part of it, it takes away from the fun I once knew. If you go to other type of message boards that are not koi message boards, we don't see the battles all the time. I'm part of a few other message boards (sago palm, dirt bike, RV, plant care, and a few others) on these message boards we never have the battles like on the koi boards. Even the water garden board doesn't have the battles. Message boards are great tools to learn from, they are also great places to meet great people. Over the years I have met a lot of people from the boards. I want to thank all of them. I think they have played a big part of making me love this hobby.

I think I'm going to step away from the boards for now. I'm hoping this will help me fall in love with the hobby again. So, I want to say thanks to all and have a Happy and Healthy New Year.

Tom

Best to you and family Tom,.... it's been a long road and I'm very happy that we got the chance to know one another on and off board(s). Don't stay away too long... you'll be missed.
