Jay

I am in the process of building my pond right now. I can start to see the light at the end of the tunnel. You can go to my thread and hopefully get a couple good ideas.

Thanks Andy for posting.
Im sure alot of you guys have already posted your pond setup here at this forum..Im not lazy looking each and every one of them, I just cant spend long hours in a computer in one sitting so I read past threads occassionally. Thanks again for making my life easier. BTW, your pond is very simple yet very very beautiful.

and here it is full. the octagonal island in the middle is built on top of the vortex chamber (11ft wide and 6.5 ft deep chamber). the boards were cut down to about 12.5 ft

you can see the "three windows" in the side of the pond in the previous two pics. here's a pic of them from inside the pond before I filled it...Both of my Koi dogs are in this pic. the brown one looking at you is Lucky, and is a standard poodle.
The Windows are laminated bullet-proof glass and are 2ft x 4ft. They were a "MUST HAVE" because i wanted a deep pond and hit the water table too soon; so two foot of the lake is above ground. And I couldn't see as much of the pond from the house as i wanted...so I put windows on the side. My wife thought I was nuts. but now she (and everyone else) thinks it is a great addition.
