Thanks, all. Good input.

Re: plastic containers v SS. From memory, I believe SS has been used because of the difficulty in getting plastic containers manufactured with the bottom's that are "open enough" for the flow and giving enough strength? Am I correct? I've seen plenty of the home manufactured bakki's from ex-milk trys but mine would have to be the long/narrow variety to fit into the design.

Tom:

What is long and what is narrow... Blue bins (generic term, not manufacturers name) were designed and manufactured in the US for bakki type applications...

Bins are UV protected, 2' long x 16" wide x 13" high... If 16" is narrow enough then all you have to do is place bins next to each other in 2' increments until you have the length you need...

PM me if you need source information..

Aloha! Mike

Tom, many of us in the UK use Bakki Showers with rear exist wiers, these send the water onto the back wall of the pond and not straight down into the pond.

I'd say it cuts the noise level to around 1/4. I'll try and find a photo.

Hi Maurice,
Did you know that in the Mud Pond Forum your reputation is that you practically walk on water??

I live in Oregon and when it rains which is a lot, there is a lot of traffic noise. My pond's waterfalls drown out the traffic or in the least give us something else to focus on. Why worry about noise from falling water?
Isn't it whitenoise?
