| Filter Configuration - feedback much appreciated! I am planning a 70 ton pond. Intending to have 2 bottom drains feeding 2 separate filter systems.
Each to have flow rate of approximately 17tons/hr - ie pond will turnover once every 2 hours.
The first system will first go through a vortex of approx 5tons, giving a dwell time of approximately 17 minutes, this will then go through a mechanical filter, at this stage thinking about static K1. Which will then go through a japanese matting/matala.
The second filtration system will go through a fluidised bed directly - with no mechanical filtration/settlement.
Idea is that I will have debris free (as much as possible) water going through matting, which is difficult to clean, with the self cleaning fluidised bed not having an issue with going anaerobic anyway.
I will have a few more months before work begins - any feed back much appreciated! |
