Yeah, I just verified my stats today -

Ph - 7.8
Ammonia = 0

Nitrites = 0

Nitrates = 10ppm

Gh = 300

Kh = =/-160

Need something that's cost effective. e.g RO seems like it bleeds off too much mains water to do that. What do you have in mind?

So how did you do the bottom of your shower crates?

Glad to finally see some koi swimming in there.

Henry,

We met at Keirin's holiday event (we were chatting with Bobby in the show tank room quite a bit on Saturday night), and I too have been through this process with Carl, John, Bobby and team. Great to see every step of the way expertly documented. What an AWESOME design!

But - I'm dying to see the pictures of everything completed - are you completely done yet?

Looking forward to the final updates,

Chris

Hi Chris,

The Koi are in and doing great. Since I am using the Kaldnes from the old pond and temporary tank, there has been no measureable ammonia or nitrite. I am currently waiting for the brick paver coping to come in so the coping can be installed and the pavers re-installed. It could be a few weeks. I'll be sure to post photos when it is done.

It's been a while since I posted an update. The paver contractor kept dragging their feet over getting the coping and pavers completed. Here are a few shots from yesterday.

I had all but a couple of my Koi at the show, so it did not make much sense to subject them all to possibly lower quality water. I put them back into the new pond with the few that did not go to the show. One of the advantages of having a relatively small collection. 9 Koi in 12,000 gallons should give them plenty of room to grow.
