Hi Louie,

Many thanks for your kind words and your best wish for our chapter. Never met Dr. Kuroki in person. But I have learned a lot about him and his love for nishikigoi. My koi mentor, Grant Fujita, has met Dr. Kuroki many times in States or in Japan trips and they became very good friends. Each time we talk about Dr. Kuroki, Sensei Grant always mentioned how wonderful man Dr. Kuroki was...I am sure his spirit and dedication for nishikigoi will be living forever in the nishikigoi world...

Regarding the ZNA ByLaws. We have completed the ZNA NorCal ByLaws draft version for our meeting. Our ByLaws is based on the official ZNA ByLaws with some modification and enhancement within the ZNA rules for our chapter, which is allowed in the ZNA ByLaws. I have sent our bylaws to number of koi masters, inluding Mr. Goforth for review and receiving a lot of positive comments.

Thanks again for your very kind words and your support.

It is my understanding that ZNA Japan bylaws would apply to you folks since you are not an exsisting club already. A couple of years back I e-mailed japan on the subject. I was told that if a club would like to be ZNA charter the bylaws that they have now is ok and not subject to ZNA Japan bylaws. New start up`s may be differant, it would be interesting to see how this is handled.
Once again my very best to you folks as you extend your hands in friendship across the sea.
Louie

I am not quite sure the relation between Shinkokai and ZNA in Japan. Shinkokai is an international association of koi dealers while ZNA is an international club of koi hobbyists...

For the ZNA byLaws, we have a hardcopy of it in Japanese language. It would be nice if we can have a copy of English version.

Thanks,

Thank you Bern!! We will try our best to live up with this.
And hope some day, ZNA NorCal can be your South East Section BKKS's sister club here in the States...

Hi Dihn,

We already have a US sister Club up in Oregon, but the idea is a good one.
There are several clubs over here that would jump at the chance.
When the Norcal Chapter is up and running and looking for a new angle to explore let me know and I'll make the necessary introductions.

Best of luck.

I vote for Dinh....

I'll be at Mom's 80th birthday party, but Russell will be there! We are really looking forward to the whole process. In abscencia, can I vote for Dinh for 'Mr. Congeniality'?? (LOL) He has been working so hard to make things happen. Thanks, Dinh. You bring a lot of positive energy to the Koi community!
