Rank these Sanke's in order from 1st to 5th place. These Sankes are 18-19" and are Nisai.

Pick one for best tategoi and pick one for best to show now.

Have fun with this excercise.

Kinda hard on this Judging excercise...I would have to agree with you on either A or D on the best tategoi...and E as for show ready...

D has nice body shape. Since i am a novice at this judging business im not afraid to be schooled lol!

Interesting you picked the Sankes with the best conformation, but no the best finish...It just tells you, your eye is focused on conformation...which is a good thing.

I dont see how you could rate D so high? It is the most unfinished. Very yellow on the head with inferior sumi.

Best Tategoi - A

A for tategoi, I really like the lipstick and pattern.

E is the most finished now but has only a two step pattern. So for current champ I say tie between B and E. Hard decision. I would probably choose B, but I'm not a judge!

B has a nice cool pattern on the back and is near finish, but the head pattern I don't like, personally.

B and E have the nicest heads right now.

D does not have enough sumi, maybe more will come up later. Nice conformation.

C has a cool pattern, and may finish up extremely well isn't finished enough right now, and a little thin for me.

So A would be my personal favorite, with B and C right there too, C having a bit more potential imho, I like the pattern alot.

E is finished now, but a two step champ?

How do our resident judges see the lipstick? I like it.

So my personal favs are A and B.

For now - EABDC.
For the future - ADBCE.

A - The best shiroji of the bunch. Some sumi coming up on the left side. Nice even sashi. Pattern seem pretty balanced. Narrow head.
B - Pattern is interesting. Nice wide head. Wish there was a little more balance with the sumi.
C - Messy right now, hopefully it can clean up a bit. Another interesting pattern and the sumi has good potential. the head and shoulder are narrow
D - The head is yellow. I don't see much sumi coming. Best body of the bunch.
E - About as good as it's gonna get, which is unfortunate.
