The Showa is from the Dainichi, which ever breeder in the world knows it the Showa bloodline. This Showa being from Dainichi makes it even more special. Okay, the Showa's conformation is very good from the angle it is pictured. The skin quality looks okay, but does look stressed from being measured. The sumi quality has yet to fully bind up or come together, knowing the bloodline the sumi can only get better in a couple of more years. The beni in time should get a bit darker and thicker, but it is hard to say with the growth rate of this fish in your pond, because the beni looks to be stretched on the shoulder. I think once this fish hits 30 inches in a couple of more years the pecs wouldn't be an issue to me, the fact that the motoguro is clean on the fish the shape of the pecs wont be an issue.
In the end it's like what me and Koiczar we're talking about today. Showa will develop the way it wants to develop so it is a gamble. In the end I like the Showa and knowing the bloodline of the fish, it's like a good bottle of wine....it can only get better with time.
