Cayo Largo, what is bringing you down there?

I am right behind a city called Bayamon, up in the mountains, We live on the highest peak in the northern central mouinatins here. I can see almost the whole north shore, from Camuy to El Yunque.

If you want to visit from Cayo Largo, I think there are illegal immigrant boats leaving cuba hourly to here......I watch them pull up. Alot of times they ride on freighters and jump ship in a remote area and swim in. After that they are Puerto Ricans! $100 for ss card, $75 for driver's liscence, $100 for birth certificate, and you are set for life.

Unfortunately they do not know the rackets so many of them wind up in slavery, literally, internet **** sites are full of them. They stick them in houses and tell them they have 'work off their debt for immigrating' and fool them into being slaves. Unfortunately, the imaginary debt never goes away. Hopefully they will start to wise up en masse so at least they can enjoy their illegal freedom???? Guess who runs those slavery rings??? INS supervisors appointed by Clinton, the king of perving.

They say 'they cant track them due to outdated computers that will never be able to be updated properly', yeah right. I can track them from up here, so what's wrong with them???? Since we are a US territory they hop on planes to any US city just like any other US city, no immigrations checkpoints. I still have no clue why people risk the mexican border crossing when they have a whole island especially for them. Kind of ranting off the topic, point is you can catch a raft or boat here from Cayo Largo any time......

Are you planning to make a puter drawing of your pond plan?

I wishit was a 'history lesson', unfortunately it is more like a live eyewitness real news report...makes me sad to think about the women and children and families cuahg tup in it, last I heard the feds estimated 700,000/yr. and rising fast were ensnared in it. Something like 30% of all immigrants get in that way. It is a shocking number annually.

For programs, I am not sure which is best, I use photshop, paint, and another graphics program that came on my puter. In Sam's I see lots of them on the shelf for $20 or so. Maybe someone else knows of an online download, good idea.

Computer Program for detailed watercourse building???

Thanks JG:

A detailed program would be great to accurately draw this watercourse in its entirity....a 3 "D" type that could show elevations of ponds and streambeds as they fall back into the lake (with cross sections). Most times I just draw the projects on graph paper, then fit as I go along....looking, thinking and visualizing. Now you got me thinking....of that perfect program to add landscaping plants, large boulders, etc...away from the watercourse but part of the walkways, bridges, benches, etc running parellell to the water flow and ponds......a place to look and enjoy those beautiful pets....and views throughout......ponering all the hardwork it took to build...HA!HA!

The thing that I have found it is gives a chance to be REALISTICALLY creative. Sometimes our minds and the actual terrain do nto match like we think. The other things is it givest ime to consider each element and it's palcement. Even moving the stream bed a half a foot or a waterfall a few feet can really affect how we as people get to interact with it. Having said that, I have a pond rith in front of the house in a garden, it is about 2000 gallons, eventaully it is oging to get another layer or two of blocks and go up to about 4000 gallons. If I had it to do over or had used a program, it would have looked better, sounded better, and been closer to the patio for us to enjoy. I could have fed the koi right form the patio. Eventually I will move it all, or add a cascading second level, but having it right in the first place would have really increased our enjoyment of it.With the next pond I put it on a drawing program, and wound up with an awesomeand creative idea that is going to rock and make people's jaws drop, but without that program I never would have dreamed it up. With the new design we are going to be walking on water, literally, and all fry will be protected, because I incorporated the design I had in mind for a patio and a pool into it. Now it all is going to fit together like a giant puzzle over time and the finished product is going to be magazine stuff. So my suggestion, use a program and do it well beforehand to give yourself time to think in new and other elements and incorporate them. The other thing I found is that by incorporating the things we wanted together(my wife son and I), and giving everyone a chance to voice an opinion, with a little creativiy we all got what we wanted, AND, the coolest part, due to doing it so the things build on one another, reduced the final cost by about 35-40%, and the labor by almost half.

Well Spoken

GJ... well spoken...grasshopper.....I have been studying this project for some time even before we bought this house and property....took 3 years to build the addition...I designed it for heating the main house as well.... solar heating both active and passive with thermal mass 120 tonnes of crushed stone underneath the slab tiled floor to help reduce overheating and the "greenhouse effect"......nearly complete just the trim and little details left....then its out side for the "main event". We will have water up near the house, patio, bar and hot tub indeed to enjoy these fine fish of choice.......whatever types and colors that may be???????? Oh , no more decisions....
