Shiro Utsuri update

Wow Maurice--I knew you were famous for Chagoi, I didn't realize you even bred Shiros!

Dan, they are from another set of shiro utsuri I have, they are not listed on my web site. But still full Omosako blood.It takes a bit work to predict shiro babies. If you'vd seen these in November when they were harvested from the mud pond you could see how these are cleaning up.

Toni, the ground where I built my farm was just pasture land. Never used for anything else.

John, I've many more shiro than just this dozen, some will go on the web site in the spring, some later and then more at nisai for the autumn harvest.

A few will be held back for longer!

I see a few in the pic I would hold back and grow on and Im just getting started and dont really know what to look for but I think some of them are real good uns. All I can go by is shiro and underlying sumi and body and thats it, as for pattern I dont know nothing and how they will develope is still a mistery

May some on like yourself can start a thread on shiro Utsuri development

They all look good, middle sharpest sumi. What does tosai and tasteshta mean anyway?
